What is a CHEK Practitioner?

CHEK Practitioners are health professionals who work from a holistic perspective, using the principles of the CHEK system (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology). This approach, developed by Paul Chek, is centered on identifying root causes rather than simply managing symptoms. It recognizes the close relationship between the body, lifestyle, and internal stress load, and how these factors influence overall health.

CHEK Practitioners draw from multiple disciplines, including functional and corrective exercise, nutrition, stress regulation, and lifestyle guidance, to support a more complete and integrated approach to care.

Hi, I’m Nick Rivera—a CHEK Practitioner and licensed massage therapist based in Santa Fe. I support busy professionals who are feeling overwhelmed, in pain, and disconnected from their bodies—people who are ready to slow down, heal deeply, and make meaningful changes that last.

If you’re new to holistic health or movement, you’re in the right place. Many of the people I work with have tried everything—from physical therapy to medication—and still feel stuck. My approach is different. Through therapeutic massage, corrective exercise/movement, and personalized lifestyle coaching, I help you reconnect with your body in a way that feels empowering, supportive, and sustainable.
